W3C released today to the public the April 2022 edition of the  W3C Strategic Highlights . This report summarizes recent work W3C Members and the public do at the Web Consortium to enhance the web and innovate for its growth and strength. This semi-annual report includes comprehensive updates in key areas that are core to the web platform, how W3C meets the needs of industry and society as a whole, how the future of web standards is determined, and the latest information on web for all and outreach to the world.

13 June 2018 W3C released today its  W3C Strategic Highlights – May 2018 , a comprehensive survey of the essential work W3C conducts to achieve a Web for All, and select recent work in many areas where the Web can solve arising problems for real people. A strong emphasis in this report is how progress in many areas demonstrates both the vitality of the W3C and the Web community. We see the maturation and further development of an incredible number of new technology coming to the Web. This report, was prepared for the Spring W3C Advisory Committee Meeting. 17 November 2017 W3C released today its  W3C Strategic Highlights – November 2017 , a comprehensive survey of the essential work W3C conducts to achieve a Web for All, and select recent work in many areas where the Web can solve arising problems for real people. Our vision of the Web for 2020 and beyond encompasses long-resident Web Applications, extending browser features, offline support, app-like performance, a flexible platform accommodating Digital Publishing, payments, video distribution, games, and immersive experiences.
